CLYDE — A Clyde man was banned from all school grounds after threatening to snap the necks of the school district’s superintendent and the principal of Green Springs Elementary School, according to a Clyde police report.
Chad Grimes, 28, came into the Clyde-Green Springs Board of Education offices, on the morning of Oct. 23 with a woman whose child had been suspended from riding the school bus for a week. According to the report, Grimes asked to speak with Randy Stockmaster, the principal of Green Springs Elementary School, about the situation.
Grimes said that he was not welcome at Green Springs Elementary and that he would “snap (Stockmaster’s) neck”, according to the report. Clyde-Green Springs superintendent David Stubblebine then asked Grimes to leave. Grimes then stated that he would snap Stubblebine’s neck too, and said, “Wait until I see you out in the streets,” according to the report.
The woman Grimes accompanied into the offices apologized for Grimes’ behavior.
Stubblebine stated he did not wish to pursue charges against Grimes but did say he did not want him back on school grounds, according to the report.
Police spoke with Grimes later that day, and Grimes admitted to going into the office but did not admit to making threats toward Stubblebine or Stockmaster, according to the report. Grimes was then informed he was banned from all school property by police.
