The 2015-16 school year continues to roll along.
While it might seem like just yesterday that Clyde High School held its fall homecoming to some, this past weekend the school held its winter homecoming celebration.
Last Friday, the 2016 Winter Homecoming Court appeared before the student body during a pep rally for Saturday night’s boys basketball game against Perkins.
This year’s winter court was made up of 14 students and included four senior girls and four senior boys who were in the running to be crowned the winter homecoming king and queen.
Seniors Jocelyn Dopp — daughter of Dawn Forsythe and David Profitt, Jenna Hoppe — daughter of Tim and Jackie Hoppe, Kim Rohrback — Mr. and Mrs. James Rohrbach — and Trenity Swinehart — daughter of Kris and Brandy Kreider — were the nominees for the homecoming queen.
On the boys side, seniors Brendan Daniels — son of Andy and Mindy Daniels, Cole Foos — son of Kimberly Wright and Brook Foos, Garrett Widman — son of Dana and Tricia Widman — and Dalton Florence — son of Keven and Tori Florence — were the nominees for the homecoming king.
The court also included juniors Sarah Alexancer, daughter of Julia Alexander, and Payton Fouke, son of Travis and Betsy Fouke.
The sophomore members of the court were Alicia Carter-Koonce, daughter of Dionne Myers and Scott Koonce, and Kennedy Stanley, son of Mr. and Mrs. Kennedy Stanley.
The freshmen court was Siera Hisey, daughter of David and Donna Hisey, and Jacob Mittower, son of Amanda Lewis.
On Saturday evening the Fliers hosted Perkins in the homecoming game and the Winter Homecoming King and Queen were announced. This years queen was Hoppe, with Florence being named king.
